There are times when a member or members of staff are exposed to a traumatic incident at work or off site. These incidents can have very negative and disturbing psychological effects, and frequently victims will have time off sick.

The effects may range from nightmares, alcohol and relationship problems, lack of motivation and depression, all of which can be symptomatic of Post Traumatic Stress. With help these can be reduced to a minimum, if dealt with swiftly, professionally and sensitively, keeping periods of sickness absence to a minimum.
